I agree... Carbs are wonderful and I love them so very much. I have very little self control as it is when it comes to food, I can't imagine being able to give up bread. I doubt it's even possible.

I did atkins once and I lost 26.4 pounds in a month. But after that it was downhill. It was really hard for me to live without carbs.
There is a misconception that carbs are bad and evil, it's not true, your body need carbs because they are the fuel that your body needs so you can exercise better.
What's bad is the excessive amount of carbs that people are eating.
The bottom line is the best diet is that one that suits you better.

Hi! I came across your blog and I have to second your last commenter. Not only are carbs the necessary fuel for your body, but they also provide the energy needed for your brain to function! I'd rather work on consuming a healthy balance of carbs than lose my brain function:)
