Taking the "Buy a Boat" Challenge

Okay, so it's been over a month, and I've gained about three pounds since my last post. So it's definitely time to start keeping better track of what passes my lips... because it has really been going to my hips.

My weight this morning was 166.8, after Cole and I issued a challenge to ourselves last night... lose 10 pounds each by May 15, and we'll consider buying a boat. Crazy? Oh yes!

We got the bug yesterday evening after walking Mt. Bonnell and seeing the boats and skiiers out on the water. We'd love to get a boat and head out this evening, but neither one of us are really ready to be bikini-clad on the water. Thus, the challenge before we even really start to consider the purchase.

So, this is the place where I will be charting my progress daily, keeping track of my activities and calories, and posting invites to join us on the lake... HA!

Breakfast: 250 calories
Coffee with Splenda
Nutri-grain breakfast bar
banana

Mid-morning snack: 100 calories
string cheese
three saltine crackers

Lunch: 400 calories (estimate)
sandwich and chips

Mid-afternoon snack: 120 calories
pudding cup

Dinner: 400 calories (estimate)
sirloin salad

Total calories: 1270. And when I took my pedometer off at 8:45 p.m., I had taken 5540 steps for the day. Not great as far as activity goes, but it's a start!
